Themes

The LICAIM themes of research are highly interdisciplinary in essence and complex in nature. The center is aimed to explore how AI interacts and collaborates with individuals to enhance human capabilities and sanction society to generate sustainable value. In a nutshell, LICAIM aims to explore the impact of AI on a broad range of business and management subjects (ranging from strategy, finance and marketing, to operations, supply chain, innovation and entrepreneurship) and cover a gamut of industries (e.g., education, energy, health care, public administration, finance, banking and insurance, retail, tourism, and luxury), thereby offering guidance to companies and institutions on how to best use AI for sustainable value generation (economic, societal and algorithmic).

  • Impact of AI on teaching;
  • AI applications, such as robotics, autonomous driving machines, and public health;
  • AI and cyber-security;
  • AI and societal grand challenges;
  • AI impact on territory and regulatory bodies;
  • AI impact on civil law, business law, fiscal law and taxation;
  • Impact estimation of the convergence of such technologies as GenAI, machine learning, cloud computing, blockchain and big data analytics, 5G/6G and the Metaverse;
  • Developing a critical view of AI recognizing primarily its pros and cons.
